[Whenever Akira wanders by the fountains, he will find Monika sitting on the edge, reaching for one of the glass bottles while taking care to avoid touching the gross waters.]
We were literally just there. [ Even if that's not the same at all, but the boy is dumb and not at all paying attention to the act that glass is involved. This is fine. ]
Really? I would have thought all the sand would make it uncomfortable.
[F... She's still holding a glass bottle in her hand, though. So she moves to place it back into the fountain, only for a shard to get yeeted at her hand with the splash of the water. He will immediately be treated to a memory.]
[ Off to memory lane they go. He's not sure what to make of it initially though the seemingly normal day doesn't give him any comfort; he's the type of guy who always sees the glass half empty and doesn't trust anything at face value.
He kinda wishes he wasn't right here.
His teeth are clenched when the memory finishes, though he unlocks his jaw and shakes out some of the tension coursing through his muscles. ]
...the hell was that? Was that some type of curse?
Monika is visibly pale when the memory ends, a haunted look frozen on her face. It takes her a couple of seconds to calm down, squeezing her eyes shut before she shakes head.]
Ah... No, it's not a curse exactly. [A little wobbly.] I'm really sorry you had to see that. I was hoping it wouldn't happen again now that I'm here, but...
[ They're probably both used to the roommate carousel at this point, as much as one can be. Today however, when Monika comes back to their room, she'll find Akira and a pile of black clothes thrown on the floor.
Normally, he's a fastidiously neat roomie, who would've thought. ]
Parties are stupid. [ Since he doesn't have his hood on indoors, she gets to see his cat ears in their full glory too. ]
